Donna M. Thornton (she/her) is a native Detroiter and alumnus of Cass Technical HS. She graduated from Michigan State Unversity where she earned a bachelor’s degree in computer graphic design with a minor in communications. She holds a Master of Arts degree in teaching with an emphasis in curriculum instruction from U of D Mercy and she earned an Ed. Specialist degree in psychology with a focus on supervision and administration. Currently, Thornton (as she likes to be called) is enrolled at Howard University, pursuing an Executive MBA.
Thornton worked as an administrator for Detroit Public Schools Community District for more than 27 years before venturing into entrepreneurship as the owner of Pinnacle Solutions and Supports, LLC. Thornton is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., and regularly engages in philanthropy and local community service activities.
Thornton is the proud mother of one son and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to travel, play board games and read novels monthly with her book club members.
